Glade Creek Farm Wedding | Mattie & Austin
Sunday’s Glade Creek Farm wedding was one of those days that reminded us exactly why we love what we do.
Mattie and Austin originally planned to elope when Mattie first reached out. They wanted something simple and intimate, focused on the commitment they were making to each other. As they started sharing their plans, though, they decided they wanted a few friends and family there, too. Before long, their elopement turned into the sweetest little micro wedding, and honestly, it couldn’t have been more perfect!
Their super small Glade Creek Farm wedding felt relaxed from the moment we arrived. There was no rush, no stress, and no pressure to make the day anything other than what they wanted it to be. Just a couple deeply in love, surrounded by the people who matter most to them.
One of the most meaningful parts of the day was the chapel. Glade Creek Farm is already such a beautiful place to get married, but learning the story behind the chapel made it even more special. The wood used to build it was restored from Mattie’s family. How special is that? Knowing that a piece of her family’s history was woven into the place where she and Austin exchanged vows made the ceremony feel even more personal.
Also, at almost two years old their little girl, she completely stole the show!!
As parents, we’re probably a little biased, but she was absolutely precious. Since she’s so close in age to our daughter Peyton, we couldn’t help but smile watching her throughout the day. She kept everyone entertained, gave us plenty of sweet moments to photograph, and added so much joy to an already beautiful day.
The weather felt like spring finally showing off. The sun was shining all afternoon, the temperatures were perfect, and guests gathered outside enjoying every minute of it. It was the kind of Sunday afternoon that makes you want to slow down and stay awhile.
What made the day even sweeter for us was realizing that this was our second wedding weekend in a row. We had photographed another amazing wedding the day before and gotten very little sleep in between shooting and working on sneak peeks, yet when we woke up Sunday morning, we were genuinely excited to do it all again!!
We are so so grateful!!!
Getting to spend our weekends celebrating marriages, meeting wonderful families, and preserving memories that will be passed down for generations is a gift. There are certainly busy seasons, but days like Mattie and Austin’s remind us how thankful we are that this is our job!
Mattie and Austin, thank you for trusting us to capture such a special season of your lives. We loved getting to celebrate with your family, photograph your beautiful daughter, and witness the beginning of this next chapter together.
Your Glade Creek Farm wedding was a beautiful reminder that weddings don’t have to be big to be unforgettable. Sometimes all you need is your favorite people, a sunny spring afternoon, and the person you can’t wait to spend the rest of your life with… and an amazing photographer 😉
