The Estate at River Run Wedding Venue

The Estate at River Run offers a myriad of wedding ceremony and reception sites for the most important moments of your life. Whether we host your wedding ceremony and reception or reception only, it is our goal to assist you in creating the most memorable experience for you and your guests. The Bridal SuiteSeated at the pinnacle of luxury and convenience, our Bridal suite ensures you feel like royalty while you prepare for your special day. With two elegant full bathrooms and spectacular river views from every window, this space is perfect for you and your closest friends to prepare for your special day and sip mimosas. The two full bathrooms completely alleviates the panic of getting ready on the morning-of usually incites, with plenty of space for showering, storing clothes, styling hair, and applying makeup. TerracesMany paths cross at the Bluestone Terrace. The curved brick staircase with a custom-forged iron railing makes for a grand entrance unlike any other, and the sheer scale of the Estate is exceptionally on the lower terrace. Encompassed by sculpted boxwoods, white river rock, ornamental grasses, and landscape lighting, this space is a flawless marriage of man-made and natural environments. The bluestone is clean and continuous throughout the terrace; as well as the adjacent sidewalks. From both terraces, one is treated to equally enchanting views of the James River that provoke unmatched feelings of privacy and tranquility.Front LawnOur front lawn is inviting and charming, featuring exquisite new lamposts, the intricately (and recently) redone stone fountain, and the mansion as a grandiose-architectural backdrop. The scale and symmetry of this space, as well as the relaxing ambiance of the fountain, greet guests as they approach The Estate. In the daylight, the lush grass and carefully fashioned boxwoods create a formidable frame for the lavish estate. In the evenings, the lawn lights up in an astonishing display of light, courtesy of the oak trees' up-lighting system, that ensures the property remains just as established and dignified no matter what time of the day.Wedgewood BallroomThis two-story ballroom, named after fine European China, has a certain air of charm and grandeur that is sure to translate to any occasion. There are countless features to catch one's eye, from the ornate ceiling, offset by the palate of "river" blues and contrasting neutral accents, to the handmade spiral staircase, which is perfect for a grand entrance. The magnificent fireplace is framed by marble once owned by English royalty and the larger-than-life crystal chandelier suspended above the room was custom-designed for the property, directly contrasting the beautiful monochromatic ceiling. With breathtaking floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the James River, the Wedgewood Ballroom invites you to share one of life's most precious moments with a backdrop almost as spectacular as the cause for the celebration itself: true love.Cameo BallroomThe Cameo Ballroom is the perfect spot for indoor events that seek to kindle a sense of intimacy and warmth and has a fabulous natural daylight for daytime celebrations! Architecturally, the three double doorways across the back of this space create an effortless indoor-outdoor transition to the terrace, and the natural color palette is preferred by planners as it creates an elegant, understated backdrop for small events, or a beautiful pass through during an indoor/outdoor event.
