If you are planning a Virginia or Destination wedding, finding the right wedding planner is the first step! There are SO many incredibly talented Virginia wedding planners, so I thought it would be fun to feature some of the best here on the KWP blog!
Meet Elise with Laurel Elise Events: Virginia and Destination wedding planner. When she’s not working, you can find her going to the farmer’s market, hanging out with her pups, and trying new restaurants with her husband! Let’s get to know her!!
Describe your dream wedding day:
A dream wedding day is a day filled with intentional and unintentional memories. It’s truly less about the design and more about the moments. Perfect weather doesn’t hurt though. 🙂
What makes a dream client for you?
Someone that fully trusts my work and my process.
What is the most popular service you offer?
Full Service Planning and Design.
How many weddings do you take on per year and how far outside of your location do you serve?
We take 10 weddings per year and will go anywhere we can get a plane ticket to!
Do you specialize in any particular type of weddings?
I would say we specialize in luxury weddings with an emphasis on florals, guest experience and romantic design.
Do you offer any services outside of full planning?
We offer partial planning services if we are within 1 year of the date.
Do you offer services on non-wedding days?
We only offer event services for weddings, we do not plan any other events.
What would your advice be to brides who don’t currently have a planner?
Invest in at least a few hours of consulting calls with one to assist in budget management – it’s the most important part and the foundation of wedding planning.
What are your top 3 favorite venues and why?
Hmmm this is tricky – I would say my top 3 that I’ve worked at are Pippin Hill Farm, Early Mountain Vineyards and The Mayhurst Estate. I say Pippin and Early Mountain because they both have such beautiful Plan B sites and are well oiled machines. I say Mayhurst because it’s where I got married and it’s just my ultimate favorite! Old World romance with a blank slate – you can truly make it your own!
Why did you decide to be a wedding planner?
I wanted a job where I could make a difference and be around happy people. What better combination of the two?
What is your favorite part about wedding planning?
Definitely seeing all our hard work come to life on the wedding day and seeing our sweet couples start their life together!
#1 piece of advice for current brides wedding planning:
Stay true to what YOU want and don’t try to people please too much.
Favorite current wedding trend:
The pet cocktail napkins – I’ll never not love those.
Favorite drink:
Cucumber Gimlet
Favorite thing to do when you’re not working?
Go to the farmers market, hang out with my dogs and trying new restaurants with my husband!
Elise is so truly talented and I am OBSESSED with all her designs. If you are looking for a Virginia wedding planner and would like to learn more about her, find her here:
