I first met Ricki when I was helping my husband, Will, do interviews for summer interns at the Wade Center. I knew then that she would become a great friend! She is one of those people that just spreads joy wherever she goes. There were so many days that she was such a support and encourager to me while we were serving together at Wade, and I couldn’t have made it through the summer without her! She and her soon-to-be husband plan to serve in the Peace Corps after getting married, and I know God will use their servant hearts for great things wherever they go!
I like to let my couples choose the location for their engagement session because they can usually introduce me to a new place that is special to them, and that is exactly what Ricki + Jon did! Even though I graduated from the same college they attend, I had never been to this beautiful location just down the road from Concord. As we hiked through an arch of rhododendrons on a path lightly covered with snow, I knew I would just love this place. Then when we got to Brush Creek Falls, the water was frozen and GORGEOUS and the sun was also glowing perfectly through the trees. These two sweethearts were naturals in front of the camera; they giggled + cuddled + sweetly kissed the whole time! I LOVE how their session turned out. Enjoy!!
