When we arrived at Fincastle Country Club in Tazewell, Virginia, to photograph Sarah and Aaron’s wedding day, we could not have asked for better weather! The skies were clear and it wasn’t too hot and the mountains and sun were just showing off! We started the day by grabbing a few detail photos.

The sweetest moment! Isn’t she stunning?? These colors were perfect! One of my favorite parts of the day… Sarah wanted to do a first look with her son and he is the sweetest!! He also walked her down the aisle and was just beaming– so proud of his mama! Love the joy on her face walking out after the ceremony!!! I know this looks posed because it is PERFECT– but this was just the most precious moment right after the ceremony when Noah hugged his mom! Maybe I am more sappy about this because I have a son now, or maybe because Noah is my daughter Sonya’a age, but I was tearing up during this moment, and again while editing. SO PERFECT!! Then Noah headed to the reception where there was a kid’s table filled with candy, and we had plenty of time for some EPIC portraits! This shot was Will’s and it is one of my faves!! AHH that light!! We got the most perfect sunset over the mountains! This is one of my favorite views in Bluefield, Virginia. Then we headed inside for a first dance and a delicious meal catered by Fincastle on the Mountain! They are the sweetest!! Then we snuck off to the grocery store for some really fun portraits!! This ended up being my favorite part of the day. I loved seeing all their friends at Food City just cheering and beaming as these two raced down the aisle in the buggy. So much fun, and such a special thing to incorporate something that was really unique to their story, in addition to the gorgeous formal portraits! This wedding was the perfect mix of elegant formal portraits, joy-filled moments, and getting to genuinely capture who they are as a couple and I am just thrilled we got to be a part of it! Sarah is also a teacher, coffee-obsessed, and loves Gilmore girls… so we might actually be soul sisters and I am so glad she was a KWP bride!!
