When Samantha asked us for Moncove Lake engagement session, I knew it would be beautiful. But even more than that, I knew it would be amazing because Moncove Lake is very special to Samantha and Coty. They have spent a lot of time there together, and this is even where Coty proposed! I immediately knew why they loved it as we drove up. Since we were travelling to their session from Davis, West Virginia, for our Blackwater Falls engagement session, we got there really early. Whenever we are travelling I am always worried about getting stuck in traffic or being late, so we usually end up way too early. There was hardly anyone at Moncove Lake, and it was so calm and quiet. The world felt very still and there was no cell phone service. We enjoyed the view and the quiet while we waited– Will was excited to fish at the state park while I was location scouting, haha!
Earlier that day, I was checking the weather on multiple different apps, and none were consistent. I knew there was a big chance it was going to rain, so I asked Samantha what she wanted to do. She said they were fine to continue, even if it rained. As soon as we started it sprinkled a little and then thankfully stopped! Later she told me that Coty proposed at Moncove Lake, and it rained that day… so when it started raining right at the end, they loved it.
Samantha requested getting in the water and it turned out great!! These two are so free-spirited and were so much fun! 
When we said good-bye, these two sent us home with homemade pepperoni rolls for our trip back! This was SO thoughtful, especially since they knew we were in the middle of nowhere with no restaurants near. Our KWP couples are THE BEST!! 
Samantha and Coty, y’all are so much fun and we cannot wait for your wedding day! Thank you for trusting us with these memories!!
