I was so excited when Callie said she wanted us to photograph her Blackwater Falls engagement session in Davis, West Virginia. They visit there often, and it seemed like the perfect place. Apparently everyone else had the same idea that day, because Blackwater Falls State Park was packed on this beautiful fall day. But despite the place with the best view being swarmed with people and multiple photographers (with tripods!), we were able to get some incredible photos with the leaves just starting to change. Callie and RJ are SO sweet and we cannot to photograph their wedding at MeadowView Weddings & Events next year!
Blackwater Falls was such a beautiful place for an engagement session! It was a pretty steep, adventurous hike down to Elakala Falls, and Callie and RJ made it look easy! They knew they loved these falls, and thankfully there wasn’t a crowd when we got there! When Will and I hiked down before to location scout, it was filled with tourists so we were glad the timing worked out. The leaves had just started changing and I love shooting this time of year!! This view a Pendleton Point Overlook was stunning!! We were not the only ones who wanted to see the view at sunset… we dodged and cropped and were so thankful to everyone who moved for a few minutes so we could get these amazing photos that made the drive worth it!! Callie and RJ, we had so much fun exploring Blackwater Falls State Park with you. Thanks for introducing us to one of your favorite places. We had the best time with y’all and cannot wait for your wedding!!
With love,
