Abby & Mikey’s Edgewood Country Club Wedding
If you’re dreaming of a timeless, elegant celebration with personal touches and the sweetest people, Abby and Mikey’s Edgewood Country Club wedding will steal your heart. From their ceremony in a stunning cathedral church to the classic black and white details, gorgeous florals, and a signature espresso martinis at the reception, every detail was a perfect celebration of them.
Some wedding days just stick with you forever.
Not because they’re perfectly styled (though this one absolutely was)…
but because by the end of the night, you feel like you’ve been hanging out with old friends.
That’s exactly how I felt with Abby and Mikey.
We started the morning getting ready at Edgewood Country Club and then headed over to the most beautiful cathedral church. The architecture was stunning, but honestly my favorite part was watching her mom and Mawmaw help her into her dress. Three beautiful generations in one little getting-ready room — laughing, tearing up, fixing the tiniest details. Those are the kinds of moments that remind me why my job is so so special.
From there, we headed back to Edgewood Country Club for the reception, and wow… Abby dreamed of everything and Misty and Grace with Little Black Dress Events really helped it all fall into place! The space was filled with classic black and white details, the most gorgeous florals, and so many personal touches. Guests were greeted with lottery ticket favors (so fun!) and a pretzel snack wall that was definitely a crowd favorite. And of course, the ice sculpture and signature McMullen martinis were flowing all night. DJ Ryan Baker was the perfect choice to get the party partying!!
Edgewood was the perfect backdrop for their celebration — elegant, welcoming, and full of laughter. And their families? Truly some of the sweetest people I’ve ever worked with. It’s so special to be around that much genuine love in one place.
By the time we hugged goodbye, I realized I didn’t want to leave… because after walking through their whole engagement season with them, it felt like saying goodbye to friends. Abby said, “I feel like we are breaking up and I don’t want to… we can still text, right?” And I could have cried. These two and so many of our couples truly feel like lifelong friends, it’s not just something we say as a marketing plan, and we are honored we got to document this sweet season of life for them.
Abby and Mikey, thank you for trusting us with your day. Your Edgewood Country Club wedding was an absolute dream, and we’re so grateful to have been part of it.
