We love all wedding days, but getting to photograph the long-awaited wedding of a good friend is so so special!!
When Sara + I were teaching 3rd grade together, we spent many planning periods talking about this wedding as she was dreaming of the day she’d marry her high school sweetheart.
Sara has been such an encouragement to me in so many ways. She was a constant encouragement when we were teaching, and continues to encourage me in my photography journey. I know I can count on her to wait up for my sneak peaks, so I knew I had to deliver hers quickly!!
Winston is so sweet to Sara, and has been at the school often to support + help her with her classroom. They have been together for TEN years, so this wedding was a long time coming!
It was such a simple, stress-free, love-filled day.
This is a pillow that Sara made from one of her dad’s shirts + a photo of her dad who passed away recently. Such a sweet memento to honor him!Sara’s mom helped her into her dress in one of the beautiful rooms of Historic Locust Hill Manor. The house had so much historic charm! Maggie + Duke were the cutest Dog of Honor and Best Dog I’ve ever seen! And they’re married!!!! Right after the ceremony, the rain poured down. Thankfully it held off until everyone was under shelter! We grabbed a few portraits on the porch and in the house while we waited for the storm to pass. Bffs!! Sara picked the most beautiful fall colors that made it seem like fall even though it was 80 degrees outside! This wedding felt like a big family cookout celebration and was so relaxed + fun. So much love in Sara’s Spanishburg Fam!! Maggie + Duke enjoyed hanging out while we grabbed a few more portraits!
Congratulations, friends!! We are so thankful we got to be part of this day + love you two so so much!!
xoxo,
