When I was teaching at Concord, I had a few “Zumba girls” that I looked forward to seeing. Skyla + her friends always came with contagious smiles and always made classes more fun.
I knew if she had that much contagious joy working out, her engagement session would be a blast!
Codie and Skyla were just so sweet together and were willing to go along with all of my craziness. Before their session I had substitute taught and the kids were wild, and I’d come home to a terrible tantrum with my foster love. Needless to say, I was tired and just a little spacey by the time I drove an hour to Hinton.
I couldn’t find my way to where we were meeting because of one-way streets, I tripped and rolled my ankle in a pothole within five minutes of meeting up with them, I set my bag down unzipped and multiple lenses rolled down a hill, and I kept forgetting how to get back to our cars. Needless to say, I was embarrassed that I was so spacey!!
But thankfully, these two were willing to stop wherever I asked when I saw the light I was looking for, and trusted me despite my shortcomings… and I am SO glad because miraculously these turned out incredibly!! Maybe the logical part of my brain wasn’t working because the creative part was in overdrive… whatever the case may be, I had so much fun exploring downtown Hinton, WV, with these two and am OBSESSED with how these turned out. Skyla loves the rustic charm (a fellow Chip + Joanna fangirl) and these old buildings were a dream.
Skyla + Codie, thank you so much for trusting my whims. I hope you love these as much as I do, and I cannot wait for your wedding day!!
xoxo,
Katelyn Workman
I love how they look at each other and touch heads. It’s a capturing of love — ancient feeling.
Yes, they are so sweet!
