When I first took the leap into entrepreneurship, I think the hardest part was feeling alone. I was used to having an amazing teaching staff to cry with and laugh with and just bounce ideas of off. I tried hard to find community and honestly just felt so defeated. For someone who LOVES people and is a verbal processor, it was hard to get used to. Over time, I made good connections with some others in the industry, but still was missing just honest friendship with someone who I could really share struggles with. Then I met Zoe, who was a 2020 KWP bride and also an amazing photographer. I was so honored that she chose me to photograph her wedding, and she became an instant friend. During such a crazy time, God sent me the friend I needed to just share the burden that comes with working for yourself. Her friendship is such an unexpected blessing to me and such a huge encouragement!!
We live about four hours apart, and The Greenbrier is sort 0f a central point and also a place we both love– and are both dying to shoot a wedding there– Greenbrier brides where are you at??
So of course it was the perfect place to take some photos to celebrate their six months of marriage! We love Thomas, too, and I’m thankful he and Will kept us focused and on schedule throughout all the laughter so we didn’t miss our reservation in the main dining hall at the Greenbrier, haha! These two have the sweetest love and I love these!!!
