It was a perfect September day when we arrived at Athena Estate and Vineyard for Kate and Hartley’s wedding. Athena Estate and Vineyard is a gorgeous venue tucked away in southern West Virginia, and it was the perfect place for these two to say “I do.”
Kate started the day hanging out with her girls in the bridal suite. I always love hanging out with the girls, but this was seriously such a sweet group!! Kate wanted to have the special moments of getting into her dress with just her mom and sister, so the other girls got dressed in the estate house and got their own special “first look” moment that was one of my favorite parts of the day.
Will had fun hanging out with the guys while the girls had their time! One of my favorite thing about being a husband and wife team is that I can hang out with the girls while Will hangs out with the guys. That way we don’t miss any moments and everyone is super comfortable!
Then Kate and Hartley wanted a moment to read their vows privately, so we found a romantic private spot under the trees. The minute they were done reading, Hartley was so excited to hug his bride-to-be. We love private vows and first looks!!
Then they had a beautiful ceremony under the trees. Athena Estate and Vineyard has a beautiful ceremony spot tucked away in the trees!

Athena Estate and Vineyard has definitely spoiled us and I would happily always choose outdoor receptions. The light was absolutely gorgeous and it was so romantic!
Seriously!! Nothing beats a golden hour reception under the trees!!
They had a party to enjoy, but we did sneak away for just a few minutes alone when they light was perfect for some more portraits!
Then they partied the night away! This was such a fun group!!
