From the first phone call I had with Mickaela about her dream Pittsburgh engagement session, I knew these two were going to be so much fun! We get to work with the best couples, and these two are SO cute and we just loved them!
I had been looking forward to this session for months, and then the day before I checked the weather and saw that there was a big chance of rain. Of course we can shoot in the rain, but we always offer to reschedule if we can, if we haven’t already traveled. So I offered to reschedule but these two are crazy busy with finishing school and new jobs, so Mickaela said we would just embrace it if it started raining! So with a trunk full of clear umbrellas, we headed to Pittsburgh, PA, praying that the rain would hold off.
This was our first time visiting Pittsburgh in years, so we got to the city a few hours early to have plenty of time to explore to make sure we had the right spots to give these two the Pittsburgh engagement session they dreamed of. It was SO dark with a sky full of clouds, but thankfully the closer it got to their session time, the less of a chance of rain was showing on the forecast. Then thankfully we got to continue with their session and keep the umbrellas in the car!!
Since they live in Morgantown, WV, they often head across the bridge to Pittsburgh for date nights, and even got engaged with a few of downtown, so it was the perfect place to plan their engagement session and I’m so glad the weather ended up being so nice.
We found a really cool view from on top of a parking garage that was definitely worth the sketchy walk up there, haha! I am so glad they fully trusted us and our vision and were willing to explore a little with us.
